1917: Georg Schelling

1917   Georg Schelling laid the cornerstone for company history more than 80 years ago. In 1917, he founded Schelling Anlagenbau GmbH headquartered in Schwarzach. The first services: repairs for local whetstone factories, mills and sawmills.

 

1958: Precision Plate Saw

In 1945  the starting shot for the serial production of wood processing machines was fired. In the following years, Schelling has continued to set milestones in the area of panel-cutting. 1958 is the year the first special saw machine with moving saw blade was born. 

1968: First automatic cut-to-size plant

1968   With the construction of the first automatic large panel-cutting system for a Dutch company, the family-owned company once again used trend-setting technologies in panel-cutting. In 1971 the first computer-supported systems came onto the market

1989: Commander Type FW: The first graphic user interface

1982  In the 1970s and 1980s, Schelling continued to grow. At the beginning of the 1980s, precision saws were used for metal panels for the first time; in 1986 with graphical operator guidance with animated pictures. At the end of the 1980s, subsidiaries were established in America and Great Britain. Internationalisation continues to increase.

 

1991: Trend-setting - the FW Unique

1991   New product systems come onto the market. Trend-setting are the FW Unique with patented turntable in unmistakable design white/blue. 1998 New markets are being exploited. Two years before the turn of the millennium, the subsidiary Schelling Polska was founded in Sroda, Poland. 2002 The market introduction of the EVOLUTION concept counts even today as a milestone in saw technology. In 2004, Schelling gained a foothold in the Asian market and founded the subsidiary Schelling Asien.

2006: The PLUS+ concept: New chapter in history

2006   With the introduction of the product line Schelling PLUS+ in early 2006, Schelling established itself once again as an innovative company in panel-cutting technology. With the PLUS + series, Schelling has become the supplier of the highest-performance and most precise machine in the history of panel-cutting technology. Today, after more than 90 years, Schelling Anlagenbau GmbH is a company active internationally with a network of sales and service offices which spans the globe.
