Clean-up

Optimisation programs combined with the most modern Storage-and-Rest management allow the best possible utilisation of plates. Consequently, the saw producers are confronted with the problem of trimming the plates. On one hand, the so-called trim-cut-strip needs to be as small as possible, but on the other, it has to be big enough so that it cannot drop down into the cutting line and damage the machine.

The solution of the problem is called: scrape-cut The plate is only trimmed by half the width of the saw blade, therefore the blade only scrapes off 2–3 mm off the plate. In this way, the material is fully utilised. However, the big disadvantage of this cutting procedure is that the extraction system is unable to remove all the chips and therefore they remain on the machine table after the cut.

Functionality Clean-up

This patented extraction device allows the complete extraction of the  scrape-chips  through the especially new developed hold down beam.

Highest operator comfort

The Clean-Up function can be directly activated by one click of the operator.  The plate/book is automatically measured by the machine and the necessary  trim-cut thickness applied. Even slanted, untrimmed plates /books can be  recognized. Should the inaccuracy of the plate/book edge exceed a certain size,  the machine automatically makes several scrape-cuts.

The result speak for itself!

The success of this new function is quantifiable  as the advantages for the user are at hand:

- Maximum material utilisation using a scrape-cut.
- Surface protection of both material & machine through a chip free machine table.
- Shorter production times for the cut-to-size part.
